My First Christmas Wreath

So what do you think to the picture then? Good eh? I will admit that I have pinched the idea from someone else. And when my computer is working again, I shall add the link in (end of this week I hope!). I'm really proud of it and it looks great! Made up of baubles, wire and a coat hanger. Thing is, my fingers are now rather burnt from the glue gun glue and I'm covered in glitter from the baubles! Oh well, looks great don't it?

Good Morning! It's Friday!

Yay! It's Friday! What shall I do today? Well, I suppose I really should get myself sorted, I've got work at 4pm and I'm helping sort out my local church before the carol concert on Wednesday! Really looking forward to it to be honest!
Check out the picture! I always make my own Christmas cards, always put lots of effort in and have great fun doing them too. Well, my computer is broken at the moment, so I can't print off the inserts that I want to print off for the middles. So I put that on the back burner and got on with making present tags. Also, somethink I always make! Got a little bit carried away though I think, only need about hald a dozen, made 13 in the end!!! Oh well, might just be able to sell them hehe

My Poor Laptop!

Check out the picture! My laptop! Broken! :-( :-( :-( I don't really know the techical bits inside the charger box, all I know is that it's broken and I aint happy. On the plus side, I've already rung the tech guys to get it fixed. They're gonna send me another one. Great get that soon hopefully. Fingers crossed for tomorrow. Wish me luck!

I've had enough of snow now!

Ok, so I probably shouldn't complain too much. Since Monday I've been sent home early every day because of the snow. But also since Monday I haven't been home. Because of the snow! I've had enough of it now! I just wanna go home. Ok, so I've had a great time staying with my boyfriend and his family, but I'm starting to feel a bit like a spare part now. I've had enough of sitting around not knowing what to do. Of thinking about all the things I could be doing at home. And of wearing the same bag of clothes. Although my boyfriend and his mum have been great. Done my washing whilst I was at work, fed me and generally looked after me. I couldn't wish for anything more. I just want my own mum back. And my own family too. Gonna stay AGAIN tonight as I'm working a 3 till 9 shift today and then attempt to get home after work tomorrow. Thing about it all is that I can't get home. But I can get to work ok. Normality is good there! Lol

Day 1 of the Snow In

Ok, so Monday morning and I steadily potter to work in my car. Bless the poor thing, it struggled and I slid a bit but we did OK. Well until I got 2 miles up the road that is and there was a car three places in front of me that was doing less than 15 miles an hour. My poor car couldn't take it for long but somehow it did it. I'm sorry people but it really isn't necessary to go so slow in the snow and ice. Keeping a bit of speed up makes all the difference as your car keeps going at it's optimum pace then. But don't over do it! You'll end up in a ditch! Ultimately if you're not comfortable in driving in the snow, simply don't do it! Don't go out and risk your life. Or mine for that matter! Lol Stay safe in the snow peeps!! X

We arrive!!

We made it in good time actually, I was quite impressed with myself! The campsite we are staying at is lovely. Fairly quiet but full of families so lively all the same. The journey down wasn't bad and traffic was ok. We got the tent up ok and I'm just sat reading information leaflets on what's about locally. Weather's good, and the beer's flowing lol

T minus 5 days!!

And so, the time has come and I face the final countdown. But unlike Frank, I'm not in New York, or even Vegas. And really, things aren't actually being done my way either. Well some things are I suppose. I've chosen the destination and some of the activities me and my boyfriend are going to do. He still chose to go bloody camping though! I'm giving it a go though, never been camping before and I'm up for trying anything really. The whole trip could be interesting. This Saturday just gone I was round my boyfriend's house (his name is Tom by the way. And I shall be referring to him as that from now on in. Tapping out 'my boyfriend' every time is tedious) and we tested out the tent. I even took a photo of it. He's so chuffed that I'm willing to do this for him. Then again, I get to go round lots of 'shiny pebble' shops as he calls them. I'm determined to have fun!

Stuff Sorted? Erm....

The time has come that I really must get everything together for the camping eveny of the year! I've printed off all the directions to the campsite (just incase the satnav breaks down) and the location of a number of places. I was given instructions to print of opening times, locations and admission prices for a number of places to go to. Places including Cheddar Gorge, Wookey Hole and the Fleet Air Arm Museum. It's a two person trip and we are going together. Gosh I didn't realise just how much some of these places are to get into!! Might just find a few vouchers here and there if I can. Would definitely be helpful.

Bric-a-Brac-a-Go!

A few weeks ago when I opened my mouth before engaging my brain and the words "Don't worry about the bric-a-brac, I'll do that!" little did I realise how much I'd now got myself in to. Now, I realise it all too much! There's people to find, and places to go. There's cakes to organise and stuff to price. And it's 3 weeks away yet! Bags of time! Yeah right! Now, don't get me wrong, I'm all up for helping out my community and raising funds for the local church, but this is the first time I've done it from scratch in charge. And to say I'm bricking it is probably an understatement to be honest. But it'll be alright on the night or so they say. But it's a day time event! Argh!! Well, here's the first poster, so far so good. I'm sure there'll be more though, bits to add on here and there. Great thing about my new phone, I can create posters and other items on my computer, transfer them to my phone and edit or post them to the net from there! Brilliant little machine!

The Big Summer Clean!

Many people Spring clean ready for the new seasons, others do it in the Autumn after a busy Summer. I on the other hand, tend to do my cleaning and clear outs in the Summer. Since I work in education and my holidays follow the term times, the Summer is the big chance I get to really have a clean down and a sort out. The good weather is a bonus as it means I can do all the washing I like and I know it'll get dry. Today has been all about cleaning down and clearing out. It's Monday and the first day of my holidays (well kinda). Took down and washed all my curtains (I have curtains on my wardrobe aswell as my window), and I've washed windows ans finished all my ironing, well for another couple of days at least. I'm bored of cleaning now and I'll do some more another day no doubt. Watch this space though. Might get a great bargains if I decide to clear other stuff out. Got quite a few bits and pieces that need good homes, but I've no more use for them. The item pictured today is a No. 7 manicure set. It's about 5 years old, but it's hardly been used and I don't use it. Comes with all the pieces and the charger and the nail bath. Free to a good home, go for it!!

Just in Time

Working on Sunday 11th July 2010. Walked to Skegness beach for an ice cream and a slushie. Got there just in time to see the lifeboat being pulled out. Unfortunately the lifeboat is only called out because someone is in danger at sea. This time it was two children in an inflatable dingy. They were found safe and sound, but it could have been much worse! The lifeboat is a worth while cause and relies entirely on volunteers and charity.
